About David Adams, Ed.D.: David is the co-founder and Co-Director of Emerge, the first counseling program in the nation for men who abuse women. David has led groups for abusers for over 40 years and parenting education groups for 18 years. He is one of the nation's leading experts on abusers and abuser interventions and has conducted training of social service and criminal justice professionals in over 47 states and 22 nations.  He has published numerous articles and book chapters on domestic violence. His book, Why Do They Kill? Men Who Murder Their Intimate Partners was published in 2007. David is also the co-chair of the Criminal Justice Committee of the Massachusetts Council on Domestic Violence and has also served as Director of the National Danger Assessment Training Project. He is a frequent Expert Witness on court cases involving allegations of domestic violence.
